Mumbai Indians posted a massive 207/5 in their 20 overs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur set the tone with a blazing 65 off just 30 balls. She hit seven consecutive fours at one point and brought up the first fifty in WPL history off only 22 deliveries. Hayley Matthews contributed 47 runs while Amelia Kerr added an unbeaten 45. The batting display was aggressive and fearless from the start.

Gujarat Giants’ chase fell apart immediately. Captain Beth Mooney injured herself in the first over and could not bat. The team collapsed to 23/7 and eventually got bowled out for just 64 runs. Beth Mooney played a brilliant innings, scoring an unbeaten 96 off 59 balls. She nearly became the first centurion in WPL history but missed out due to not getting enough strikes in the final overs. Mooney and Harleen Deol shared a 101-run partnership that formed the backbone of Gujarat’s 186/5 total. Deol made 46 off 32 balls before getting out.

UP Warriorz never found their footing in the chase. They lost four wickets inside the powerplay and collapsed to 48/6 at one stage. Kashvee Gautam picked up 3 wickets for 11 runs while Tanuja Kanwar also took 3/17. The Warriorz got bowled out for 105 runs in 17.1 overs. This loss severely damaged their playoff chances.

Sciver-Brunt kept the innings going even after the top order fell and built a crucial 60-run stand with Amelia Kerr. Mumbai Indians finished with 182/4 in their 20 overs.

Issy Wong created history during the chase by taking the first hat-trick in WPL history. She dismissed Kiran Navgire, Simran Shaikh, and Sophie Ecclestone in the 13th over. Wong finished with figures of 4/15 as Warriorz got bowled out for 110 runs. This was a knockout game, making the dominant victory even more impressive.

4. RCB Women Beat Gujarat Giants by 61 Runs (19 January 2026)

Royal Challengers Bengaluru recorded their biggest win by runs on 19 January 2026 at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. This victory sealed their playoff spot and extended their winning streak to a record six consecutive matches in WPL history.

Uncapped Indian batter Gautami Naik played a stunning innings of 73 off 55 balls. This was the highest score by an uncapped player in WPL history. RCB recovered from a tricky 9/2 start thanks to Naik’s composed batting. Richa Ghosh contributed 27 runs as RCB posted 178/6 in their 20 overs.

Sayali Satghare destroyed the Gujarat top order in the second over of the chase. She dismissed both Beth Mooney and Sophie Devine to leave Giants at 4/2. Lauren Bell then cleaned up Kanika Ahuja as Gujarat slipped to 5/3. Despite a fighting 54 from Ashleigh Gardner, the Giants could only manage 117/8. Satghare finished with excellent figures of 3/21.

5. Delhi Capitals Beat RCB Women by 60 Runs (5 March 2023)

Delhi Capitals produced a dominant performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 5 March 2023 at the Brabourne Stadium. This was only the second match in WPL history and showed the high-quality cricket fans could expect from the tournament.

Openers Shafali Verma and captain Meg Lanning put on a spectacular 162-run partnership. Shafali smashed 84 off 45 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. Lanning contributed 72 off 43 balls with 14 boundaries. Marizanne Kapp and Jemimah Rodrigues added an unbeaten 60 for the third wicket as Delhi posted a huge 223/2.

Tara Norris from the USA created history by taking the first five-wicket haul in WPL. She finished with 5/29 and completely destroyed the RCB middle order. Smriti Mandhana and Heather Knight tried their best with 35 and 34 runs respectively. But RCB fell short, finishing at 163/8 in their 20 overs.
