Injury Updates
Australia Women: Australia faces several injury setbacks heading into this Test. Fast bowler Kim Garth has been ruled out with a quad injury. Captain Sophie Molineux will miss the match due to a back complaint, which means Alyssa Healy will lead the side in her farewell game. Ellyse Perry is also nursing a quad strain and remains doubtful. If Perry recovers in time, she will play purely as a specialist batter and will not bowl. Australia has called up uncapped duo Rachel Trenaman and Maitlan Brown to cover for the injuries. Teenager Lucy Hamilton is in line for her Test debut as a left-arm quick.
India Women: India has lost pacer Renuka Singh Thakur for this Test. The BCCI confirmed that she has been given rest to manage her workload ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in June. All-rounder Kashvee Gautam has replaced her and could earn a maiden Test cap. Opener Pratika Rawal is set to return after recovering from the ankle injury that ended her ODI World Cup campaign. Seven Indian players, including Vaishnavi Sharma and Kranti Gaud, are in line for their Test debuts.
