Chennai Super Kings will host ROAR ’26, a first-of-its-kind mega fan event, at the MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chepauk) on Sunday, March 22. The evening features a reunion of OG Super Kings legends like Suresh Raina, Matthew Hayden, Murali Vijay, and Subramaniam Badrinath, who will face off against the current CSK squad in exhibition match-ups.
On top of that, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman will perform live at the venue. Tickets went on sale from March 15 through the CSK App, chennaisuperkings.com, and District.in.
What Is CSK ROAR ’26 All About?
ROAR ’26 is essentially a pre-season celebration that blends cricket nostalgia with live entertainment. It takes place just six days before IPL 2026 kicks off on March 28.
For the first time in CSK’s history, current players, franchise legends, and a world-class musical act will all share the same stage at Chepauk. The franchise described it as a tribute to the team’s journey and the unwavering support of the Yellow Army over the years.
So yes, it’s part exhibition cricket, part concert, and part fan festival. All wrapped in yellow.

Which CSK Legends Will Attend the Reunion?
The “OG Super Kings” lineup heading back to Chepauk includes some of the biggest names in CSK’s IPL history.
Suresh Raina leads the group. The franchise’s all-time leading run-scorer needs no introduction at Chepauk. Alongside him, Matthew Hayden returns to the ground where he terrorised bowlers during CSK’s early IPL dominance. Murali Vijay and Subramaniam Badrinath, both fan favourites from the championship-winning squads, will also be present. Reports also suggest Dwayne Bravo could attend, though some former players may miss the event due to prior commitments.
These legends will take on the current squad led by Ruturaj Gaikwad and featuring MS Dhoni and new arrival Sanju Samson in a series of high-energy exhibition match-ups.
How Can Fans Book Tickets for CSK ROAR ’26?
Tickets went live on March 15 at 11 AM IST. Here’s where fans can purchase them:
- CSK App (official mobile application)
- chennaisuperkings.com (official website)
- District App and District.in
CSK has strongly advised fans against buying from unofficial resellers or third-party sources. Given the lineup, demand is expectedly massive.
Why Does This Event Matter for CSK Ahead of IPL 2026?
After finishing last on the points table in IPL 2025 with just 4 wins from 14 matches, CSK desperately needs a momentum shift. ROAR ’26 aims to reignite that connection between the franchise and its fanbase before the new season begins.
Additionally, the franchise has made significant squad changes. Sanju Samson arrived via a trade deal from Rajasthan Royals, while uncapped signings Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer came in at a record-breaking ₹14.5 crore each during the mini auction.
With Dhoni still around, Gaikwad captaining, and Samson adding firepower, the Yellow Army will look to bounce back strongly. Their campaign starts with an away game against Rajasthan Royals in Guwahati, followed by home matches at Chepauk throughout the season.
