Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) created history on Thursday night. The women’s team won their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title in Vadodara. This victory makes RCB the first franchise to hold both the IPL and WPL trophies at the same time.
The final match against Delhi Capitals was full of action. Delhi Capitals scored a huge total of 203 runs. This was the highest score ever in a WPL final. However, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant innings. She scored 87 runs off just 41 balls. Her teammate, Georgia Voll, also played well and scored 79 runs. Together, they helped RCB chase down the target with only two balls left.

The Bengaluru franchise is now in a golden era. The women’s team won their first title in 2024 and their second one now. The men’s team also won the IPL trophy in 2025. This success has turned the famous “Ee Sala Cup Namdu” slogan into a reality.
Fans in Bengaluru are celebrating in the streets. The team proved their critics wrong by winning six out of eight matches in the league stage. Smriti Mandhana also won the Orange Cap for scoring the most runs. RCB is now the most successful name in Indian T20 cricket.
