Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) created history on Thursday night. The women’s team won their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) title in Vadodara. This victory makes RCB the first franchise to hold both the IPL and WPL trophies at the same time.
The final match against Delhi Capitals was full of action. Delhi Capitals scored a huge total of 203 runs. This was the highest score ever in a WPL final. However, RCB captain Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant innings. She scored 87 runs off just 41 balls. Her teammate, Georgia Voll, also played well and scored 79 runs. Together, they helped RCB chase down the target with only two balls left.
