1. UP Warriorz – 225/5 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (2025)
UP Warriorz made history in WPL 2025, becoming the first team to rack up more than 225 runs in a single innings. Georgia Voll was the standout, hammering 99 runs and falling heartbreakingly short of the tournament’s first-ever century. She held her ground till the end, striking with 17 boundaries and a six.

Grace Harris got things rolling fast, scoring 39 off just 22 balls, and together with Voll, the opening pair piled on 77 runs in 43 balls. Once Kiran Navgire stepped in, the carnage continued. She blasted 46 runs from only 16 deliveries, including two fours and five massive sixes, at a strike rate that touched 287.50.
This innings really showed how the WPL has changed. Teams now aim for scores once thought impossible. And doing it against a strong RCB bowling lineup just made UP Warriorz’s record-breaking feat even more impressive.
2. Delhi Capitals – 223/2 vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru (2023)
Before UP Warriorz rewrote the records, Delhi Capitals held the top spot with a stunning 223 against RCB in just the second-ever WPL match. Captain Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma opened with a partnership that left RCB helpless—162 runs together, a record that still stands as the only 150-plus stand in WPL history.

Lanning chipped in with 72, Verma smashed 84, and both looked completely in command. Marizanne Kapp came in late and finished things off with a blazing cameo, scoring at over 200. Delhi’s dominance led to a crushing 60-run win at Brabourne Stadium.
3. Mumbai Indians – 213/4 vs. Gujarat Giants (2025)
Mumbai Indians came out swinging in the Eliminator at Brabourne Stadium, racking up a huge 213 runs against the Gujarat Giants. Hayley Matthews set the tone—she hammered 77 off 50 balls, sending the ball to the ropes 10 times and clearing it for three sixes.
Nat Sciver-Brunt matched her shot for shot, blasting 77 from just 41 deliveries. She cracked 10 fours and two sixes and kept the scoreboard racing with a strike rate close to 188. Together, they stitched up a massive 133-run partnership that really put Mumbai in control.

Then Harmanpreet Kaur took over at the end, finishing things off in style. She smashed 36 from only 12 balls—two boundaries and four huge sixes. She barely gave the bowlers a chance to breathe.
With the captain leading the charge, Mumbai’s total was just too much. They won by 47 runs, and no surprise, Matthews took home Player of the Match for her all-round show.
4. Royal Challengers Bengaluru – 213 vs UP Warriorz (2025)
This one came in a losing cause. Needing 226 to win, RCB threw everything they had at it and ended up with the joint third-highest team score in WPL history. They fought hard, right from the start.
Sabbhineni Meghana came out swinging, smashing 27 off just 12 balls. She hit two boundaries and sent two over the ropes for six. But the real star was Richa Ghosh. She looked unstoppable, hammering 69 from just 33 deliveries. Six fours, five sixes, and a strike rate over 200—she kept RCB in the hunt.

Ellyse Perry backed her up with a quick 28 off 15, finding the boundary six times. Then Sneh Rana turned up the heat at the end—she walked in and blasted 26 off only six balls, including two fours and three huge sixes. Her strike rate? Off the charts at 433.
In the end, RCB fell just 12 runs short, bowled out for 213 in 19.3 overs.

Delhi Capitals weren’t done. Just a few days later, they crossed the 200 mark again, this time against UP Warriorz at DY Patil. After winning the toss and choosing to bat, Meg Lanning put up another half-century, showing she’s as consistent as they come. Jemimah Rodrigues anchored the middle with 34 not out, and Alice Capsey kept things moving with 21.

At the top, Hayley Matthews chipped in with a solid 47, and near the end, Amelia Kerr wrapped things up, staying not out on 45. The all-rounders really pulled their weight, and, honestly, Mumbai just looked unstoppable in Navi Mumbai.

When it was the Gujarat Giants’ turn to chase, things fell apart fast. They crumbled to 64 all out. Mumbai walked away with a 143-run win—the biggest margin in WPL history, and that record still stands. That day, Mumbai didn’t just win. They set the bar for the whole first season.
