GT vs CSK Head To Head has become one of the most exciting rivalries in the IPL in a very short time. It is not just about wins and losses, but also about close matches, big moments, and pressure games. Earlier in IPL 2026, GT defeated CSK by 8 wickets at Chepauk on April 26 to take a 5-4 lead in the overall head-to-head record.

Now, both teams are ready to face each other again in Match 66 on May 21, 2026, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Gujarat Titans have already qualified for the playoffs and are fighting for a top-two finish. On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are under pressure and need a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Fans still remember the famous IPL 2023 Final, where CSK chased the target in the last two balls to win the title in one of the greatest IPL finals ever. Both teams have also posted big scores against each other over the years, making this rivalry even more entertaining.

With GT aiming for a stronger playoff position and CSK fighting for survival, this 10th meeting between the two teams could produce another thrilling contest.

GT vs CSK Rivalry Peak: 2023 IPL Final Last-Ball Thriller

If you missed that GT vs CSK 2023 final, you missed one of the wildest IPL nights ever. Rain pushed the match into the reserve day, Gujarat Titans smashed 214/4 with Sai Sudharsan blasting 96 off 47, and CSK were later given a revised target of 171 in 15 overs.

Chennai still needed 13 from the last over, then somehow it became 10 needed off the final two balls. That is when Ravindra Jadeja stayed calm, launched a six, then sliced the final ball for four to win the title on the last delivery.

The moment after was unforgettable too. MS Dhoni hugged Jadeja with pure emotion as CSK lifted their fifth IPL crown in one of the greatest IPL finishes ever.
