The landscape of women’s cricket changed dramatically on March 11, 2026, as the inaugural The Hundred Women’s player auction saw record-breaking bids and massive squad valuations. Thanks to new private investment, team salary pots doubled to £880,000, leading to some intense bidding wars at Piccadilly Lights.

Top Buys & Record Breakers

The biggest headline was the joint-record price for Sophie Devine of New Zealand and Beth Mooney of Australia. Both fetched £210,000, the highest in the history of the competition.

Other big earners included domestic star Danielle Gibson, who became the most expensive English player at £190,000 with Sunrisers Leeds, and South African all-rounder Nadine de Klerk, joining London Spirit for £170,000. Rising youth talent also shone, with 19-year-old batter Davina Perrin securing £50,000 with Birmingham Phoenix.
