How the Kwibuka 2026 Points System Works

Teams earn 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie or no result, and 0 for a loss. This is the standard ICC framework used across all Women’s T20I tournaments. Net run rate then acts as the tiebreaker when sides finish level on points.

Points Distribution Rules

  • Win: 2 points
  • Tie or No Result: 1 point each
  • Loss: 0 points
  • Abandoned (no toss): 1 point each, treated as no result

Tiebreaker Hierarchy

If two or more teams end the league stage with equal points, the Net Run Rate (NRR) decides the order. Furthermore, head-to-head results break any remaining tie. Consequently, even a small NRR swing in an early game can shape who reaches the final.
