The Nigeria Invitational Women’s T20I Tournament 2026 Points Table tracks the performance of all six teams competing in the Patricia Kambarami Cup in Lagos. Teams earn 2 points for a win, 0 for a loss, and Net Run Rate (NRR) decides rankings when teams finish level on points.

The tournament kicked off on March 20, 2026, and will run until March 28, 2026, with 14 T20I matches played at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval, Lagos. The Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF) organises this annual event to give women cricketers across Africa a proper stage to compete and improve their ICC rankings.

After Match 1, Rwanda Women sit at the top of the table with a commanding win over Ghana Women. Meanwhile, four teams are yet to play their opening fixture. As a result, the NRR column already shows a big early swing, which could matter when teams finish level on points later in the tournament.

Knockout Qualification Format

The league stage runs from March 20 to March 26, 2026. After that, the tournament moves into the knockout phase. Here is how teams qualify:

League Stage

All six teams play each other once in the round-robin phase. That gives a total of 15 league matches. Consequently, every team plays 5 matches before the knockouts.

Semi-Finals (March 27)

The top four teams from the league standings qualify for the semi-finals. The first semi-final starts at 10:00 AM WAT (2:30 PM IST), followed by the second at 2:00 PM WAT (6:30 PM IST).

3rd Place Play-off & Final (March 28)

The two semi-final losers play the 3rd place match in the morning. Meanwhile, the two winners meet in the final in the afternoon. Both matches take place at the TBS Cricket Oval, Lagos.

If teams finish level on points at any stage, NRR serves as the tiebreaker. That is why the early NRR swings from Match 1 could prove decisive later on.

About the Nigeria Invitational Women’s T20I Tournament

The Nigeria Cricket Federation introduced this tournament to develop women’s cricket across West Africa and the broader African continent. It brings together national teams from different African countries and, starting this year, U19 sides from South Africa and Zimbabwe as well.

The event has grown from a bilateral series between Nigeria and Rwanda into a full multi-team competition. Many players who perform well here gain visibility for ICC ranking purposes and future continental tournaments. Additionally, the South Africa U19 squad is using this as preparation for the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup in Bangladesh and Nepal in 2027.

The 2026 edition is officially called the Patricia Kambarami Cup, named in honour of a pioneering figure in African cricket development. All matches are played at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos, which features a modern ten-strip turf wicket.

Stay Updated with the Points Table

Match 1 has set the stage, and things will only get more intense from here. Rwanda Women’s massive NRR of +6.100 leads the tournament right now, but 14 more league matches remain before the semi-finals.

Host nation Nigeria Women are yet to play their opening fixture and will look to make a strong start on home soil. Meanwhile, the two U19 sides from South Africa and Zimbabwe will be eager to prove they can compete against senior national teams.

Every match from here can flip the standings. Keep checking the points table after each match day to track your team’s progress and see who builds real momentum heading into the knockouts on March 27.
