South Africa Tour of New Zealand 2026 starts on March 15 at Bay Oval, and the recent history makes the series interesting.

South Africa beat New Zealand by 7 wickets in Ahmedabad earlier, but weeks later, New Zealand knocked them out of the T20 World Cup 2026 semi-final with a 9-wicket win at Eden Gardens.

Now the teams meet again for five T20Is in New Zealand. South Africa leads the overall head-to-head 12–8, but New Zealand has won four of the last five matches. South Africa arrives with a rotated squad led by Keshav Maharaj. Bay Oval hosts the first match.
