About the Women’s Caribbean Premier League 2026
The Limacol WCPL 2026 is the fifth edition of the tournament, organised by Cricket West Indies. All eight matches are hosted at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, one of the most iconic cricket venues in the world.
This is the first time the tournament has expanded to four teams. The addition of Jamaica Empress Women was confirmed in June 2026 and the Player Draft was held in August 2026, with local squads confirmed on August 7, 2026.
Each franchise also signed five overseas players, creating one of the most star-studded WCPL squads ever assembled. Meg Lanning, Marizanne Kapp, Suzie Bates, and Shabnim Ismail are among the international names confirmed for the 2026 edition.

How Teams Qualify for the Final
The WCPL 2026 tournament format follows a single round-robin group stage with 6 matches, followed by two knockout games.
- 1st place: Gets a direct ticket to the Final on September 17.
- 2nd and 3rd place: Meet in the Playoff on September 16. The winner goes to the final.
- 4th place: Eliminated after the group stage.
If two teams finish level on points, Net Run Rate (NRR) is the tiebreaker. So every run counts, even in losing causes.
