Lahore Qalandars face Karachi Kings in the 35th match of PSL 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on April 23, 2026. KAR won the first meeting (Match 6) and lead the head-to-head 1-0 this season.

This is a must-win clash for both sides. LAH sit 4th with 8 points (W4 L4) after back-to-back wins over Rawalpindiz and Quetta Gladiators. They are right in the playoff race but need a win tonight to stay there. KAR are 7th with 6 points (W3 L5) and have lost five matches in a row. A loss here almost certainly ends their playoff hopes.

With Fakhar Zaman in red-hot form (282 runs at SR 160, including a century) and Shaheen Shah Afridi leading the bowling (14 wickets in 8 games) for LAH, and Moeen Ali, Sikandar Raza, Hasan Ali, and J Roy anchoring KAR, this Thursday night contest at Lahore sets up a high-stakes showdown.

LAH vs KAR Head-to-Head Record in PSL 2026

These two sides met once in PSL 2026. Karachi Kings won Match 6 by four wickets at Gaddafi Stadium on March 29.

In that game, Lahore Qalandars struggled on a difficult pitch and could only post 128/9. Abdullah Shafique top-scored with 33 and Haseebullah Khan made 28, but the surface made timing very hard. Adam Zampa was the pick of the KAR bowlers with 2/11. Chasing 129 was never straightforward, but Muhammad Waseem (38) kept KAR on track. Shaheen Afridi fought back brilliantly with 4/18, keeping the match alive till the final over. However, Abbas Afridi hit a four and a six off consecutive balls in the last over to seal a hard-fought four-wicket win for the Kings.

Since that defeat, LAH have turned things around. They won back-to-back games, beating Rawalpindiz by 32 runs and Quetta Gladiators by nine runs. Fakhar Zaman hit a stunning 103 off 51 against Pindiz, and Haris Rauf took two wickets to help seal the win against Quetta. LAH are now 4th with 8 points and in a strong position to qualify.

KAR have not found a way to win since those three early-season victories. They sit 7th with 6 points after five straight losses, including a crushing 159-run defeat to Peshawar Zalmi. With three wins and five losses, the Kings need to beat LAH and hope other results go their way to have any realistic shot at the playoffs.
