The league stage runs from 7 August to 13 September, and then Barbados hosts the entire playoff week from 16 to 20 September.
Most games kick off at 7:00 PM Caribbean time, which lands at 4:30 AM or 5:30 AM IST the next day for viewers in India. So set an alarm, or just stay up.

How the CPL 2026 Format Works
Each of the seven teams plays 10 league matches, facing four rivals twice and two rivals just once. That’s how you get to 35 league games from a seven-team pool.
The top four then move into a four-team playoff. Third plays fourth in the Eliminator. First plays second in Qualifier 1, and the winner walks straight into the final.
The Qualifier 1 loser gets a second life against the Eliminator winner in Qualifier 2, with the winner of that match taking the last spot in the final on 20 September.

Trinbago Knight Riders
Nicholas Pooran leads CPL’s most successful franchise into a title defence. TKR used its right-to-match options to keep Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard and Akeal Hosein together.

Barbados Tridents
Formerly the Royals, this franchise has reverted to its original blue and yellow identity under a new “One Barbados” partnership with the government. Rovman Powell’s departure to Jamaica leaves the captaincy open, with Gudakesh Motie, Quinton de Kock and Sherfane Rutherford leading a talented but leadership-light squad. They finished bottom of the table in 2025.
Saint Lucia Kings
Roston Chase takes over the captaincy of a side that won the title in 2024. Matthew Forde returns alongside him, and overseas additions Noor Ahmad and Tim Seifert strengthen a squad that, on paper, still needs more overseas punch.
St Kitts & Nevis Patriots
Kyle Mayers captains a squad stacked with West Indies regulars, including Jason Holder and Johnson Charles, the leading run-scorer in CPL history. Pakistan duo Wanindu Hasaranga and Naseem Shah headline the overseas group.
Antigua & Barbuda Falcons
