In addition, Atif Attarwala produced a match-winning all-round performance, while Shreyas Iyer led the side as captain. Consequently, the Panthers added a second franchise to the winners’ circle.

Notably, COVID-19 then forced a six-year hiatus, so the Panthers held the trophy from 2019 until 2025.

MSC Maratha Royals – 2025 Champions

Mumbai South Central (MSC) Maratha Royals claimed the T20 Mumbai League 2025 title with a 5-wicket win over Shreyas Iyer’s SoBo Mumbai Falcons.

The final on 8 June 2025 drew over 29,000 fans to Wankhede. Meanwhile, Chinmay Sutar‘s 53 sealed the chase with four balls to spare.

Captain Siddhesh Lad led the Royals to their first crown. Additionally, Sutar walked away with both the Player of the Match (Rs 50,000) and Best Batsman (Rs 2 lakh) awards. Meanwhile, Shashank Attarde of Eagle Thane Strikers won Best Bowler.

MSC Maratha Royals – 2026 Champions

MSC Maratha Royals became the first team to successfully retain their crown, edging past ARCS Andheri by 8 runs in a thrilling final on June 13, 2026.

After putting up 154/5 on the board, the Royals relied on a disciplined bowling display to restrict ARCS Andheri to 146/8. Chinmay Sutar once again starred in the final with a gritty 61 before retiring out, while Siddhesh Lad contributed a vital 33.

In the chase, despite ARCS Andheri opener Divyaansh Saxena’s valiant 51, the Royals choked the runs at the death. Speedster Tushar Deshpande took over the captaincy duties mid-game after Lad suffered an arm injury, leading the team across the finish line to make it two-in-a-row for the franchise.
