Injuries and New Players

Sahil Parakh, an 18-year-old left-handed opener from Maharashtra, made his IPL debut for DC today, just days after a face injury in nets. Bhuvneshwar bowled him for a 2-ball duck.

Mumbai Indians signed Keshav Maharaj as a replacement for Mitchell Santner, who was ruled out with a left shoulder injury. Maharaj joins MI for INR 75 lakh.

Hardik Pandya has also been ruled out of IPL 2026 ahead of the MI vs SRH clash, a major blow to Mumbai’s already shaky campaign. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Lungi Ngidi are the other key injury concerns.

Conclusion: Second Half Will Decide the Playoffs

IPL 2026 has been the most unpredictable season in years. PBKS look like the team to beat, RCB and SRH are firing, RR have a teenage sensation, and DC have just collapsed for 75. MI, KKR, and LSG still have the talent to mount a comeback.

With 265-run chases, four 15-ball fifties, a Super Over, and a 152* from KL Rahul already in the bag, the second half promises even more chaos.
